Festival of Lights is a fun and engaging music and movement session for learners who use wheelchairs. It offers non-ambulant learners the opportunity to explore the joy of the Festival of Lights through creative and supported movement linked to Diwali traditions.
Together with their dance partners, learners will move to specially chosen music as they sweep and shine, swirl to make colourful rangoli patterns, pass and share flowers, dance with scarves, move like fireworks, and come together for a sparkling finale with lights and bells, a celebration of light.
A “Festival of Light Music and Movement” video, featuring images and music, accompanies the session and can be viewed on the Sensory Soup YouTube channel or downloaded from the Sensory Soup OneDrive or Dropbox.
