‘Underneath the bright blue sky,

In a field where the corn stands high,

Lives a Scarecrow called Mr Maize,

Enjoying the last Summer rays,’

Mr. Maize is a short sensory story about a Scarecrow named Mr. Maize who senses the season of Summer changing to Autumn.

Mr. Maize would be a perfect sensory story to share with learners during September and October when the weather and seasons change. It would also complement Harvest Festival celebrations and a Farming theme.
