The Flower Moon is the name given to the full moon in May, a time when flowers are blooming, and nature is full of growth and new life. During this sensory session, learners will go on a sensory journey through the sights, sounds and experiences of May, from the warmth of the sun and the earth below to calm spring nights beneath the Flower Moon.
Learners are invited to experience a range of sensory activities, including feeling the warmth of the sunshine, exploring soil and earth, smelling spring flowers, listening to nighttime sounds and experiencing fluttering moths beneath the moon.
This Flower Moon sensory session includes a supporting PowerPoint or video with images and sound, sensory ideas, a resource list and delivery guidance. All download links can be found within the written resource.
You may also enjoy exploring other seasonal sensory resources on Sensory Soup, including The Little Seedsensory story and moon-themed experiences such as the Strawberry Moon.
